Roles and Responsibilities  In a school setting, educational assistants may: work under the supervision teachers or specialists work with students who have special needs or a whole classroom  work with individual students or groups of students both in the classroom and other settings work as part of a multidisciplinary team with but is not limited to psychologists, teachers, administrators, and other specialists. supervise students in structured (classroom) and unstructured (hallways, recess, lunch hour) settings assist with preparing materials to work with students in different areas or finds and with different modalities.
